Executive Director Position for Pikes Peak Makerspace


The Pikes Peak Makerspace of Colorado Springs is looking to fill our Executive Director position. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about the maker community in the Springs to help us maintain and grow our membership, and fulfill our mission of providing the community with the tools and education they need to make things!

This is a paid position.

The following are the primary responsibilities of the Executive Director:

  • Have a passion for making things, fostering community, and teaching others.

  • Partners with The Board of Directors in achieving the organization's mission.

  • Develops, implements and executes administrative policies and procedures for all functions including day-to-day operations, membership, fundraising, marketing and business development of the organization.

  • Partners with the volunteer member leadership and other team members to address workspace concerns and elevate to The Board if necessary.

  • Develops annual budget with Treasurer and volunteer leadership for Board approval. 

  • Serves as the primary spokesperson and cheerleader to the organization’s constituents, the media and the general public.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the state and utilize those relationshipsto strategically enhance the mission of the organization.

  • Serves as a member of all teams needed for policies/procedures and provides direction.

  • Helps and leads fund-raising, manages donations, and heads grant development.

  • Overall responsible for the uptime and performance of the space and equipment.

  • Manages human resources of the organization and supports volunteers in programs and operations.

  • Ensures regular communication with The Board and membership.
