Welcome to the beginner 3D printing class at PPM! After taking this class you will know how to operate our 2 most used 3D printers, the Prusa and Taz FDM printers (we'll go over what FDM means and all the basics of 3D printing).
We'll start with a high level overview of 3D printing by talking about printers, slicers (software), materials and how to 3D print successfully at PPM. Then we will get hands on with how to do a filament change. Documentation will be provided as handouts for your future reference and online documentation will also be available and easily accessible.
The goal is you will be able to hold your ideas in your hand!
This is a paid class. This helps us offset the cost of printing materials for the future. Once you go through the class you will have 24x7 access to the printers and you can print at no additional cost. We do always accept filament donations though!
Member price: $20.00 (a roll of filaments worth)
Non-member price: $40.00
Please pay before the start of the class here (PPM members - be sure to sign in so you receive the discount):
Cash can also be accepted the day of, but please bring exact change.
See you there and happy printing!
