Basic safety and use of the wood lathe / Level 3 class

You must have attended a basic wood shop safety class in order to be eligible for this more advanced class. We will go over the basic operation of a wood lathe, the different tools used, and how to sharpen those tools properly. Having sharp tools is critical to the successful use of the wood late. This is a two part course. You will need to attend this class and one follow on class. The second class will be 1 on 1 for about an hour where the date/time will be arranged. You will need to demonstrate safe practices before being allowed to use the wood lathe without supervision. There are plenty of videos out there on safe use of a wood lathe. Take advantage of those. Just use a simple search such as the following; "wood lathe basics youtube".
We need a minimum of 3 to schedule this event. This is for members only at this time.
